Ingredients
2 oz cognac
1 oz tawny port
1/2 oz Pernod licorice liqueur
3 dashes Peychaud bitters
1 tsp fresh lemon juice
Method
Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes.
Shake well.
Strain into an old-fashined glass 1/2 filled with ice cubes, and serve.

1 oz lemon juice
1 tsp sugar
6 oz Champagne
Method
Combine cognac, sugar and lemon juice in shaker.
Add ice and shake till chilled.
Pour into champagne flute.
Pour champagne over cognac concoction.
Garnish with lemon curl.
